Earlier this week we had seen signs saying that we could not park in front of our apartment today. We weren't sure exactly what was going on, but figured it was probably just road work. Then a couple of days later, we realized that there was going to be an autumn neighborhood fair right in front of our apartment building!
We woke up this morning to people setting up their tables and putting out their goods to be sold. There was a little bit of everything for sale. You could find antiques, vegetables, sheets, clothes, toys, and cheese just to name a few.
We walked around for a little while, after we had gotten back from church, looking for something to eat and checking out all that was going on. We ended up with some honey candy, a tree made out of beeswax and cous cous from a great neighborhood restaurant. Not bad at all!!
Later on, we got to watch kids from a dancing school perform and a band go marching by. All of this, while standing on our balcony! Our little street is somewhat busy, but usually fairly quiet. It was a lot of fun to have so much going on right below us. We danced along with the kids performing and marched with the band. Best of all, no one else could see us doing it! ;)
I took some pics from the balcony of the busyness going on. I didn't get any when we were street level, so sorry they aren't the best. Enjoy!
The dance school doing their thing...did I mention they went through all of their routines 3 times!?!
Amarissa telling me about the dancing and how she wants to be a "ballalina" when she "grow'd up".
